Mackie RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Huki Tait as our new Director of Rugby.

Before looking ahead, I would like to thank Mitch for his hard work, dedication and commitment during his time as Director of Rugby at Mackie RFC.

Mitch has made a significant contribution to our players, coaches and rugby programme, giving his time, energy and expertise to help develop the club both on and off the pitch. His efforts have been greatly appreciated, and I wish him every success as he continues his involvement with Mackie RFC as a club Trustee.

Following a thorough and highly competitive recruitment process, Huki impressed the selection panel with his passion for player development, his vision for the future of community rugby, and his commitment to creating an environment where every player can thrive.

As a club, we are entering an exciting new chapter and Huki will play a key role in shaping our rugby programme, supporting and developing our coaches, strengthening the pathway from our Minis and Youth sections through to our Senior teams, and helping to build a positive, inclusive culture throughout Mackie RFC.

I would like to thank everyone who expressed an interest in the role. The quality of applicants was exceptionally high, reflecting the ambition, values and growing reputation of our club.
