It was an overcast day at Redcloak, the game had kicked off and with a well fought try it was Mackie’s Evan Howie to get the first points on the score board. Unfortunately it wasn’t converted.

With Mackie having the boost of confidence it surely didn’t put Moray down as they came back and scored a well earned try that was successfully converted. It gave Moray the push that they needed to find Mackie’s weak points and sure enough, they got another unconverted try, but with the lads ambition to get back into the game it was Mackie’s Murray Mclaughlin to put the ball down. Unfortunately with the weather starting to get worse it was unsuccessfully converted.

The score was now 10-12 and Mackie were still in it but unfortunately our intensity and aggression wasn’t enough to compare to Moray’s, leaving the half time score at 10-33.

The lads struggled to get flow going in the second half and couldn’t get themselves back into it leaving the final score to be 10-60.

It was a tough day in the office for the boys but after the trip to Stirling and having doubt, we definitely didn’t give them an easy win. Although the game wasn’t in our favour there was some very good play from our winger Harris Cameron making big and crucial tackles that won him big mac which was well deserved but also from Jacob Armstrong-Williams with some phenomenal carries to test the Moray defence, there was also great decision making from Matt Brady and as much as I could say everyone’s names those were the players that I thought should be recognised for their performance at home today.
