83:32 to Mackie but development match called at 72:22.
We went in to an early two converted try lead and thought the game was won.
Wanderers battled back and we gifted two tries to them and making poor decisions in possession and not as organised as we’ve been defensively there was nothing between the two sides.
The lads were encouraged to stick to structure and simple handling and it started to pay off.
There’s still poor decisions being made with white line fever taking hold, leading to more effort and phases required for a score.
Excellent performances all round in the circumstances but due to the reduced team size it was difficult to get everyone game time in the best positions. The lads today did well to produce such a convincing result.
Still too much one handed carries in to contact leading to knock-ons, handling errors and turnovers and there’s still a number of players who don’t play simple offloads and two-touch rugby. These errors will cost us in tighter matches against better sides.
Finlay Greig was picked by the lads as player of the match and we had excellent scores from him, Callum, Logan and Jay.
