Our primary focus today after last weekends game was to maintain our defensive line discipline through out the entire match. As a squad, the Defensive line was a massive improvement, which resulted in Highland only being able to score one try. Like Currie, they were looking to get the ball wide, but with the squad communicating well, we were identifying these overlaps and moving over quickly to close them down in the wide channels. The work rate amongst the entire squad for the 70mins was excellent and more often we were seeing good tackles around the ball carriers legs, with us bringing them to ground easier. Attacking play, lots of strong carries from both the forwards and backs, with the support play there too!
Always difficult picking a Man of the Match, when everyone has played well, but it was a captains performance today with Cameron leading by example.
