On Sunday, 3 of out the U14 girls made the short trip to Rubislaw to attend the 3rd of the series of extended gameplay festivals. These festivals provide a platform for the girls that will step up to U16 with exposure to additional techniques and larger pitch.

Our girls were teamed up with the team from Highland RFC, where they very quickly gelled, outscoring the combined Garioch/Deeside/Ellon team. After a short break, the Highland/Mackie contingent, with one from Fraserburgh ensuring we could field a rolling sub, took on a team from Shetland. This was a bit more of an arm wrestle, but again outscored the opposition.

The girls finished off in a 15-a-side game to complete the game minutes. Tries and tackles from all 3 of our Girls and it was good to see offloads to players coming in at speed as well as hearing the calls in defence, which we have been practicing for the past few weeks.
