On the sunny afternoon of Friday 2 May, we set off to Edinburgh on the world famous Mackie P7 Tour. 20 players, 3 coaches and some parent helpers, making the trip to the Nation’s Capital. The aim of the tour is to bring the players closer together, strengthening their bond and setting them up for the transition to Youth Rugby.
Despite “what happens on tour, stays on tour”, here are some highlights!
Friday night — Jumbo-ball training session and campsite shenanigans
Saturday morning — Blind fold and three legged rugby
Saturday afternoon — All aboard the tram to watch Edinburgh v Bath at the Hive!
(Big shout out to Cameron Redpath and Finn Russell for signing shirts and hats)
Saturday evening — Pizza & Kangaroo Court (age appropriate forfeits)
Sunday — Perth RFC tournament.
Mackie came up against some new teams today and gave a good account of themselves against strong opposition!
Huge thank you to the parent helpers and all those involved in the fundraising - we couldn’t have done it without you!!
