Based on points across both pools, Mackie were up against Grammar, for the second time in the day, to decide who would be going home with the silverware.
The Mackie players were 100% ready for the rematch and had a point to prove.

A nail biting game ensued! We conceded early, equalised , conceded again then quickly levelled the score at 2 all, with just minutes to go. Relentless pressure from Mackie finally got them over the line, winning 3-2.

Without doubt, this was the most consistent performance of the season. We applied a huge amount of pressure in defence and worked hard to retain possession against some very tough opposition.

Congratulations to every single player for working so hard for each other. You really did deserve your win!
