Injury list impact with heavy defeat to Grammar

Sunday 5 October saw Mackie S2s hosting Aberdeen Grammar at Redcloak. The Mackie squad were restricted by injuries and it was a mix of experience and new faces that took to the field against a strong and well drilled Grammar side.

From the off the visitors made good use of several strong ball carriers in their ranks and despite willing defense from Mackie they were able to regularly break the line to score. It was clear early on that this was going to be a 'tough day at the office', but the S2 lads earned the respect of their opponents by never allowing their heads to drop and continuing to battle to the final whistle.

The match identified some key points to be worked on in the training sessions to come.
