A very good win

We had discussed in training the need to really put Ellon on the back foot from the start. The boys took the warm up process really seriously and are now starting to manage some aspects of game day themselves. The general level of team communication has become louder (they are all sick of listening to me!)and more relevant.

We had discussed the need to put Ellon on the back foot from the off and so it was. We scored from their KO, and that set the tone.

As with the previous game the ball went wide to runners coming on to the ball at speed creating lots of scoring opportunity. As the game went on we lost shape a bit, but continued to score regularly.

Despite the big win, there is much to improve on. We won, despite still loosing almost every ruck!. The scrum and lineout are OK, but not great, and we still lack control over game play.

This seems a bit churlish with such a convincing win, but we need remain grounded over what we still need to do!
