Last Sunday Mackie P4's headed north to Ellon to attend their 2nd mini rugby tournament of the season. Back in October the P4's went to Kinross and put on a dogged, determined display to come away winners, last Sunday the result was the same but the display of rugby skills was so much different.
The months between the two events have seen much hard work by the boys in training and in other friendly events, and on Sunday the improvement really really showed.
From the 1st whistle to the final whistle the P4 boys all demonstrated great individual skills and awareness, but the real difference was the way everyone contributed to the real team effort to operate as "as one".
In mini rugby it's relatively easy to get results with some talented individuals playing well, but the team playing together as a team will always be stronger and that's where the P4's excelled on Sunday. They tackled, pressured, ran, defended, rucked and attacked as one big "Mackie Machine" and the results showed, played 6 won 6 with zero tries conceded.....an awesome display to result in the Mackie P4 squad running out Ellon champions 2015.
