Unenclosed Open Day for Mackie FPRFC Minis

It was awesome to see 10 of the squad return for today's open day.

Toilet and train tig seemed to warm up everyone with a wee bit of lunge in the corners as a foundational movement to get the joints moving.

Bib v non bibs for a bit of a TAG game to show the coaches what you remembered from last season. This was followed with some 3 v 2 mini games to promote go forward, support and keep the ball alive principles of play.

It was back to playing a game on the whole pitch where it good periods of play were not slowed down by the rain showers that came through. The squad seemed to like the "Stuart Says" activity although the cut grassed seemed to like sticking to the players kits.

It was great to finish off with a bit of fun with rugby rounders.

Remember to ask your rugby brain what is the one thing I need to stop doing and the one thing I need to start doing to improve my rugby skills.
