The famous five that showed up today enjoyed the autumnal sunshine and played some delightful rugby alongside players from other teams who helped to strengthen the squad whilst they were playing their age grade games.
It was great to see Mackie Reds using the ground as their friend once they were "tackle held". This was a good idea they copied from their last tournament. After a few games this allowed the tackled player to wait for support and off load the rugby ball to the supporting player(s)who then attacked the space and scored tries.
You all were given feedback (positive comments) from the game coaches today so use your rugby brain to think about what I need to stop doing and need to start doing to make my rugby skills improve for myself and the squad.
Big thanks to all parents for getting the players there on time, being pitch side supporters in the lovely autumnal sunshine and making sure everyone got their snack at the end.
You should be able to see the squad photos on this website and perhaps read about it the local newspapers.
