From Primary 2's up to the oldest of the Mammoths, from the occassional supporting parent to the senior players training and playing every week. Everyone should be proud and has done their bit to achieve this recognition. The RBS Club of the Month award celebrates on-pitch performance, discipline and player development.

To win, a club does not have to be the best in all three areas, but should show a successful balance, with potential for long-term growth.

The SRU recognized Mackie's incredibly talented youth and mini teams coached by some of the most enthusiastic caoches and parents in Scotland. Coupled with the success and style of the senior teams since Christmas, there was only ever one winner! (slightly biast perhaps!).

The club has received a £1,000 prize, and an RBS film crew visited the mini tournament on Saturday to produce a short 5-10 minute video celebrating the club’s success. And what a perfect way to show the SRU how great our club is!

The film will be shown on the Scottish Rugby YouTube channel and on Scottish Rugby website. Clubs will receive DVD copies to help promote their club, with opportunities to recognise sponsors and local businesses which support the club.

Winning clubs will also be nominated for RBS Club of the Season, with the chance to win a further cash prize at the annual Club Awards Dinner where a table has been awarded for the club also.

A massive well done to all kids, mums, dads, coaches, supporters, players and committee members.
