Message from President

Following another unfortunate incident at a Youth Conference Fixture this weekend which has required the involvement of the Committee we are re-sending the Code of Conduct out to ALL players and parents. As per EVERY year we ask the players and their custodians to read and understand the heavily published policy, the parents actually sign the membership form using a statement that they have read and understood said content (see attachments) and time after time we see examples of poor and unacceptable behaviour from both players on the playing field and parents/guardians on the touchline.
This WILL stop – either by voluntary action across the board or by action from the Club Committee to use the Disciplinary Actions explained in our policy to their fullest up to and including permanent exclusion.
Sport is passionate and emotive at the best of time but when we include our offspring into the mix the temptation to react in a poorly thought out manner is there and we understand this BUT I will no longer receive emails about “how they started it” or “how it was totally out of character” – the fact is we are not children, and we as volunteers, coaches parents and guardians lead by example and from our position on the Committee at the top of the club all we do is pay lip service and tick the boxes – it is now time to “walk the walk”.
