Normal Service Resumed

You may have noticed that the regular monthly draws have now recommenced with the first draw taking place at the after-match gathering of last Saturdays 1st XV league game against Strathmore. The Strathmore Captain did the honours and drew out the October 2016 winners as Stuart Knowles (£50), Ian Sinclair (£25) and Jake Meston (£25). We will continue to post the results on the website as they take place over the coming months.
During the handover between old and new committees the 100 Club was another area that had to be reviewed, reconciled and remediated, mainly to allow the new committee to take charge of the separate bank account. Now that we have finished this reconciliation we are pleased to announce that the draws for March to September (7months) have been undertaken, results communicated on the website and I can confirm the cheques are on their way out to the draw winners.
For the December draw the Executive Committee have decided to return to the format of a Special Festive Draw where there will be a double draw (6 winners) for double prizes (2x£100 and 4x£50 prizes) which will be held at the Clubrooms after the Traditional Boxing Day Captains v Presidents challenge match.
If you would like to be included in the 100 Club draw going forward and help contribute to meeting the ongoing running costs of the Club then please complete a 100 Club direct debit mandate (attached below) and send it to your bank or hand to Leslie Brown, Club Secretary who will facilitate that for you – no email submissions unless you can PDF after signature as your bank requires the Mandate to be signed with your usual signature.
Of course we will also have forms available at the Clubrooms and will make sure we have a batch along at the Boxing Day game so although you may have missed the chance for this years’ Special Festive Draw you can sign up for what we hope will become major contributor to covering the month to month costs being incurred by the Club whilst giving you a chance to not only cover your 100 Club Membership but even maybe cover your annual subscription costs too!
